Bone broth comes from boiling the chicken bones to extract collagen. Collagen is a known natural anti-inflammatory and may help with joint health and osteoarthritis. It is a digestive friendly ingredient which is a good source of calcium the essential minerals of phosphorous, and magnesium.  Recipe

1 ½ lbs of chicken breast (can substitute with thighs)

5 stalks of celery

¼ cup of sliced up ginger root

1 large zucchini

32 Ounces of Organic Chicken Broth

Pour chicken broth into slow cooker, add in chicken. (I like to add whole boneless chicken breasts. It is to cut up after it has been cooked and makes for tasty large chunks of chicken in your soup.

Add cut up carrots, thinly sliced ginger root, cut up zucchini and celery.

It can cook all day on low in your slow cooker or you can put it on high to cut the cook time down to 3 or 4 hours.

Add Himalayan and garlic salt and any of your favorite seasonings.

All of the ingredients added up to under $10. You can cut the cost down to almost $5 if you grow your own food. All of the ingredients other than the chicken and bone broth can be grown in your home or backyard. Yes, even ginger root.
